Fferm Tyllwyd is situated above Felingwm Uchaf village. Tyllwyd is an Organic Beef Farm in an unprivileged area. There are a number of Welsh Black Cattle on the farm, and for three months of the year there are a number of sheep. Fferm Tyllwyd has already benefited from the Tir Cymen scheme.
The habitat areas that are central to the Tir Gofal Agreement are small deciduous forests and scrub, unimproved acidic grassland, unimproved neutral grassland and mass improved grassland.
To broaden the agricultural variety and that wildlife inhabit the farm, Mr. James is prepared to grow an area of spring grain crops with grass seeds and pulses beneath, and to also transform improved grassland into mass improved grassland.
Under the Farm's Capital Work programme, a number of traditional field boundaries will be restored and some fencing to be undertaken to protect habitats for the purposes of environmental management.
